For all new laboratory construction and renovation plans prior to construction, The University of Georgia should ensure that all responsible parties including, but not limited to, the Physical Plant Division, the University Architects for Facilities Planning, and ESD shall work together to ensure compliance with the Board of Regents Design Criteria for Laboratories.

Scope of Responsibilities: It is the responsibility of the Industrial Hygiene & Occupational Safety Manager to ensure that allUniversity of Georgiarenovation or new construction of laboratory facilities project plans are thoroughly reviewed prior to construction and throughout all phases of the project by all responsible parties including, but not limited to, the Physical Plant Division, the University Architects for Facilities Planning, and the Environmental Safety Division (ESD) to ensure compliance with the Board of Regents Design Criteria for Laboratories.
