The UGA Police Department is Cleary Act compliant and recognizes the importance of notifying the university community when an event, incident or emergency situation warrants such notification for the purpose of providing information to students, faculty and staff so that they may make conscious and informed decisions in taking appropriate steps to safeguard themselves or in providing information that may assist in related police investigations.

Responsibilities

The Chief of Police has the responsibility of providing for the safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors at the University of Georgia.
