    • Effective Date:

    Policy Statement
The Office of Finance and Administration will schedule periodic mandatory sessions for all heads of departmental level units in which financial responsibility and reference for assistance in financial affairs will be reviewed. Vice Presidents and Deans are charged with identifying office managers or other unit administrators who should mandatorily attend financial responsibility courses. Vice Presidents and Deans will establish procedures within their respective units to be sure that designated managers and administrators attend the required training.
    Reason for policy
Periodic training sessions are essential to provide information to administrators, deans, department heads and the staff to whom they delegate financial responsibilities. Knowledge of fiscal protocol and accountability assists these personnel to successfully complete their duties.
    Procedures
Notification regarding mandatory fiscal sessions will be communicated via the vice presidents.
