Policy Statement
There is no formal policy statement for this topic however procedures and other information are provided below.
Reason for policy
To meet state and federal regulations pursuant to the proper management and disposal of hazardous wastes.

All requests for the removal of hazardous waste from University facilities must be initiated using the Chematix Hazardous Waste Module.


Hazardous waste management training is required before using Chematix, in addition you must contact the Environmental Safety Division for system access.  Users must then log into Chematix, complete all required fields and submit the pickup request.  Once the waste pickup has been submitted you will be contacted by Hazardous Materials Program personnel to arrange a suitable date/time for your pickup.  If you have circumstances that require special attention please contact us immediately at (706) 713-2729.
