University Food Services is a self-supporting operating unit of Auxiliary Services. Food Services’ mission is to provide meal plan service to all students, and to operate retail locations to service faculty, staff and university visitors. Like all units of Auxiliary Services, Food Services derives its authority to operate from University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents policy 7.2.2.
Food Services receives no state or federal funding for its operations, and participation is entirely voluntary. Food service fees are set by the department and must be approved by the Office of the President of the University of Georgia.
